GIVING is a characteristic of a Christian. Learning to give is an important step in Christianity. We are to give our best to the Lord- our time, our talents, our money- all that we are and all that we have.
The Bible has a great deal to say about money and giving- what attitudes and priorities we should have towards money and wealth; how much, when, where we should give; the blessings and dangers or riches.
Malachi 3:10 - Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
Acts 20:35 -.It is more blessed to give than to receive.
2 Corinthians 9:7 & 8 - Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
